Makes-Me-Smile Monday

If you’d like to join me for the MMSM carnival, simply write a post about anything that makes you smile (gleefully, wryly, longsufferingly, etc) and send the permalink (post url) to Jane at whataboutmom@gmail.com. You can send me a link to an MMSM-type post anytime during the week. I often do (want to) smile on days other than Monday.

I’ll read your post and link to it in my weekly MMSM post, telling everyone how wonderful you are. (You can also share your thoughts in the comments section, esp. if you are blogless).

This is just an opportunity to get a little more exposure for your post/blog.

Don’t forget: add the MMSM button to your post and blog sidebar by inserting this code:

<a href=”http://www.whataboutmomblog.com/makes-me-smile-monday/”><img src=”http://www.whataboutmomblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/picasso-flower-bouquet-logo-copy2.jpg”></a>

If html code gives you a rash (it certainly gives me one, frequently), just link back to this page. Thanks!

    Hi Jane!
Thanks for taking time out of your very busy day to stop by my blog! I’ve enjoyed taking a look around yours, and must say, your literary children are quite adorable! However, the little Spot looks rather underfed - you might consider listening to well-meaning busy-bodies, er, check-out clerks!
I may try this “makes me smile Monday,” if I can remember to post every Monday. Plus there was that one word in there that kind of put me off. Oh yeah, “The THINKING Blogger’s Carnival.” Sort of gives the connotation that I might have to actually put some thought into my post on Mondays - what’s up with that? Well, I’ll consider it - let you know if I decide to go through with all that effort…

    Have a nice weekend!

Well I love the choices. Especially the “Some Kind Of Wonderful” one, its one of my favorite 80’s films. I missed the Tale of Two Cities but we know me IM always behind in carnivals. So as soon as Myspace lets me back on I will write, and eventually I will get my blogger.com account up and running.

I have a fear of writing anything remotely personal, controversial, or too soul-searching on our family blog, but your MMSM did spark today’s post. It’s barely Monday anymore, so it’s not exactly an MMSM post (and I didn’t follow any of the reciprocal-linking protocol), but I thought I’d let you know you are inspiring people to at least write. And the hardest part of writing is writing, right?

I am really happy I found your blog. I like the MMSM that is an great idea. I am new to blogging and as I look around at all the blog sites I really feel overwhelmed. Some of the ones I have come across seem like the person doing it has been doing it their whole life. I hope to one day have half as much talet as all of you.
P.S. How do I link to blogs I like? Besides just mentioning them on my page. Thanks
